February 22, 2010 Plan For Nevada 2 Comments

Nevada has lost close to 200,000 jobs since this Republican-caused Depression began. Unfortunately, it has been aided and abetted by Harry Reid.  How to get businesses to create jobs is a very difficult problem, but I know how to solve it, fast and easy.
NO ONE is going to create any jobs unless there is a sustained demand for their product or service AND the return generated is greater than the costs incurred. In addition, businesses must be able to pay for the initial costs of hiring people. They have to have the capital and manpower to sort through the various applicants, pay for the ads to find the people, etc. The return on this investment is ALWAYS after the fact.
As Governor, I have a comprehensive plan to jump-start the demand for specific goods and services in areas where there is the most local and global demand. This plan will create thousands of jobs and even more importantly bring significant money to Nevada that will stay here.  My plan is to use similar strategies used by the Germans and the Japanese to rebuild their economies after World War II. The state will take the lead role and partner with those who wish to grow their businesses.
The basic idea is simple: If you create jobs in Nevada, the state will welcome you. If not, go somewhere else.  We will focus on creating jobs in areas where there is massive global demand: construction management and technology, state of the art manufacturing, state of the art agriculture, informatics, health care technology, high tech and alternative energy resources, products and services.  We will target industries and businesses with capital to invest who want to grow their businesses and who can both create jobs, benefit from being in Nevada, but also export to the world at large.
We will take advantage of our location, weather, infrastructure resources and skill sets to get the job of creating thousands of GOOD, new jobs moving forward and rebuild our economy.  It will take some capital to jump start this massive job creation project and get this job show on the road. But, that does not mean we will have to raise taxes.
There are many other ways to raise money to get this NUMBER ONE PRIORITY OF JOB CREATION accomplished and I know them all. Plus, most are extremely simple to implement. All it takes is the know how to structure them so they are win-win situations for everyone and I know exactly how to do just that.

I am interested enough in what i just read to hear more. How do you propose to create those “win win” situations. I’m also interested in hearing about your ideas for raising money to support the ideas you wrote about.

I would like to hear your ideas for improving our educational system, which ranks low nationally.
